Children Under 12

Bicycles
Ulsterbus services:
- Bicycles are carried free of charge if the bus has a boot and space is available. Fold-up bicycles can be carried at any time on-board the vehicle.
Bus Eireann services:
- Bicycles will be carried only if sufficient accommodation is available; they must be placed in the luggage compartment or other designated area of the vehicle and are subject to a charge as determined by Bus Eireann from time to time.
- Bicycles must not be placed where they could obstruct any gangway or any passenger entrance or exit.
- Where it is necessary to transfer to another vehicle or vehicles before completion of journey, the availability of sufficient accommodation for bicycles cannot be guaranteed.
Carriage of Animals on Buses
Ulsterbus services:
The following categories of animals can be carried free of charge:
- Small dogs, capable of being carried on a passenger’s knee provided they are clean and do not prove to be a nuisance or cause inconvenience to passengers.
- Dogs accompanying blind persons provided they are kept on a leash.
- Assistance animals provided they are kept on a leash and are clearly identifiable.
- All animals travel at owner’s risk and on NO occasion should occupy a seat. Ulsterbus reserves the right to refuse or carry any animal, and to require it, should circumstances dictate, to be removed from a vehicle before the journey is completed.
Bus Eireann services:
- Guide dogs accompanying passengers who hold a Registered Blind Person’s Pass are carried free of charge on Bus Eireann’s services. Apart from the foregoing exception, dogs, cats or any other animals or live fowl of any description WILL NOT be carried.
