Christmas Timetables

As the festive season fast approaches, Translink are encouraging all Metro, Ulsterbus and NI Railways passengers to pick up a copy of the new Christmas and New Year timetables which are now available from their local bus or rail station.

Passengers should note that there will be no services on Christmas Day. However, on Boxing Day Metro will operate a limited service between 12 noon and 6pm to accommodate shopping in the City Centre. In addition limited Goldline Express 200 and 274 services to Dublin and Airport Express 300 services for Belfast International Airport will operate. There will be no NI Railways services.

A holiday timetable will also operate for Metro, Ulsterbus and NI Railways on New Year’s Day, with services due to operate to and from Laganside Buscentre operating from Europa Buscentre.

The Call Centre will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

All normal Ulsterbus and NI Railways services will resume on 2nd January and normal Metro services will resume on 6th January.

Ciaran Rogan, Translink’s Marketing Executive said:
“In planning the public transport arrangements during the Christmas and New Year period we review our passenger numbers, travel trends and trading hours provided by the major retailers.  This year we have enhanced our holiday timetable by providing some additional services particularly in relation to New Year’s Day.  We have identified that more people are travelling whether to spend time with relatives and friends or travelling home, while others are attracted to city and town centres across Northern Ireland by the possibility of a bargain in the post-Christmas sales.

“On behalf of Translink management and staff we would like to wish all our valued passengers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”
