Translink lays on additional Rail and Bus services for Rugby fans
Translink has advised rugby fans travelling to Dublin to support the Irish team at its international matches this month to ‘get on the ball’ regarding their travel plans.
In addition to the timetabled cross border Enterprise and bus services, NI Railways will operate a further three special services provided by the new C3k trains, and Ulsterbus Tours will also operate a dedicated luxury Coach service.
In the first of three Rugby International fixtures this month Ireland will face South Africa this Saturday 11th November, before going head to head with Australia on Sunday 19th November and the Pacific Islands on Sunday 26th November.
Rail, and for the first time coach tickets for these special services to all three international clashes are available now online at www.translink.co.uk.
Alternatively, rail tickets can be purchased at Belfast Central, Lisburn, Lurgan, Portadown and Newry stations.
“Tickets for the special rail and coach services will be sold on a first come first served basis so we are advising passengers to book early to avoid disappointment”, explained Translink Marketing Executive, Ciaran Rogan.
Rail Promotional Day Return fares to Dublin will only be available on the special rugby services and not on scheduled Enterprise services on the same dates.
For further travel information passengers can contact Translink’s Call Centre on 028 9066 6630 or click www.translink.co.uk.
